Donald P. Rogers (1908- ), a crypotogamic botanist and mycologist, served as Curator of the NYBG Cryptogamic Herbarium from 1947-1957. His specialty was the toxicology and morphology of Basidiomycetes, particularly Thelephoraceae. He was an active member of the Mycological Society of America and managing editor of the journal Mycologia. Rogers was born in Toledo, Ohio in 1908.
